Gavin M. is a singer/songwriter that has always been fascinated with the power of narrative and its incredible ability to activate our intuition and internal compass to bring a sense of purpose.
A native of the American midwest (Belleville, Illinois -- St. Louis Suburb) and having written songs for over the past 15 years, he has spent the past few years really digging into what makes the eclectic musical community of St. Louis tick and grow as a breathing entity. Never believing he should be somewhere for too long, he has set his eyes on Europe as a fountain of inspiration and eventual relocation from the States.
His songs have references to cities and landmarks in America and Europe; forming a unique perspective on the sense of an ever evolving spirit and musical identity.
Gavin is working on his full length album: “Goodbye, Mississippi” due out in fall 2019. It chronicles his travels to the British isles and his communion with his musical Mecca of the United Kingdom and Ireland. With songs reference Liverpool, Manchester, Dublin, and London spoken through his midwestern scope and musical dialect.
Songs like “Underground” (documenting an evening in London, “Mersey” (documenting a love affair with Liverpool), “Manchester Rain” (documenting a foot travel excursion through the city centre to the country side of Ashton under Lyne) and “Belgrave Road” (an Aigburth residential street and an evening with local folkies and sharing tunes). "Old & Young Soul, Tonight" (the moment in which you may be thousands of miles from home, but you always have what makes you special inside of you. Penned while walking along the River Liffey in Dublin)
